Susan S. Roper, M.D. is a Board-Certified Dermatologist, certified by the prestigious American Board of Dermatology.
She attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she was Phi Beta Kappa, and received her undergraduate degree from Stetson University in Deland, Florida. She earned her medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia, and served her internship in internal medicine at Emory University also.
Dr. Roper completed her residency training in Dermatology at Emory University, serving as Chief Resident of the Department of Dermatology. She also completed a research fellowship year in dermatology at Emory University, after receiving the prestigious Dermatology Foundation Research Award sponsored by Revlon.
Dr. Roper, who is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology, is a reviewer for the Journal of the American Dermatology, and holds membership in a number of professional organizations, including the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, the Florida Society of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery, and the Florida Society of Dermatologic Surgery, of which she is a board member.
Dr. Roper is an Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine and Dermatology at the University of South Florida School of Medicine in Tampa, Florida, and is affiliated with Morton Plant/Mease Hospitals. Presently she is also in private practice at Countryside Dermatology and Laser Center in Clearwater, Florida.
Dr. Susan Roper is the Immediate Past-President of the Florida Society of Dermatologic Surgeons and is the recipient of the Surgeon of the Year Award for 2006.
Adele Ann Moreland, M.D. is a Board Certified Diplomat of the prestigious American Board of Dermatology. She earned both Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees at the University of North Dakota where she graduated Magna Cum Laude and was awarded membership in Phi Beta Kappa.
Dr. Moreland earned her medical degree at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine and served her internship at Baptist Hospital in Oklahoma City. She completed her residency in dermatology at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia, serving as Chief Resident of the Department of Dermatology.
After completing her residency, she was appointed full-time Assistant Professor of Dermatology at Emory University School of Medicine and continued her academic career for five years before going into private practice. While at Emory she designed and administered a new teaching program for medical students with grant support from the Centers for Disease Control and authored numerous scientific articles and book chapters.
She is an author and Co-editor of a dermatology atlas in its third printing. Dr. Moreland has been a practicing dermatologist since 1984 and is a member of several professional organizations including the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, Florida Society of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery and the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery and is affiliated with Morton Plant/Mease Hospitals in Clearwater, Florida.
